Disliked: No elevator

Perfect place to explore West...

Liked: Didn’t look like much from the outside but the interiors are meticulously remodeled and clean. Really recommend this place!
Disliked: Some neighbors were a little loud, but that was only for an hour one evening.

Cheapest option I could find...

Liked: Location is great. Walkable to the Grove and Melrose St and surrounds. Room was clean and had been recently renovated.
Disliked: The rooms have zero noise insulation. You can hear every car that drives by and every person who walks past. And if you're on the ground floor, you can hear people upstairs walking around and having conversations. Around midnight, our upstairs neighbors were stomping around and talking at shouting volume - so loud that it woke both of us up. I went to ask the concierge if there were quiet hours that could be enforced, and he was less than interested in helping. Bathroom layout was a little weird in enough ways for it to be inconvenient- no towel hooks, shelf in the shower, or soap holder for the sink.

Liked: If your looking for a clean place in a great location this hotel was well worth the value. The room was was clean, the bed was comfortable, staff responded when needed. Never figured out how to turn the heat/AC on or the TV, which was no big deal.
Disliked: Hotel is under renovation so there was always work being done. Also the wall were thin and so not a lot of noise was blocked out. These issues were minor as we didn't stay here to hang out at the hotel - just sleep and shower.

one room not fit for...

Liked: got transferred to one of the newly renovated rooms... was exceptionally cleaner than the old rooms.
Disliked: first room I was checked into had the overwhelming smell of urinal cakes. the carpet looked like the floor of an oil change garage, and most fixtures were dangling. was moved to a newly renovated room part way through stay, which was much much cleaner, but still had a funky odor, and the television/phones weren't going to be operational, according to staff, until 2 weeks after my stay.

Disliked: It's undergoing renovation, lots of trash outside and noise

Disliked: Hotel is remodeling and noise was terrible

Disliked: There was no lamps in the room and the atrium was full of discarted furniture.
