Perched on the fourth floor of the Sports Club/LA building, Blu is a sleek, modern restaurant offering Contemporary American cuisine in the heart of Boston. With floor-to-ceiling windows and minimalist decor, it delivers a refined yet relaxed atmosphere. Just steps from the Theatre District and major concert venues, it's the perfect spot to grab a bite before the show or wind down afterward. The menu features fresh, seasonal ingredients with creative flair, and the smart casual dress code makes it as approachable as it is elegant.
Location is everything, and Blu nails it—just a short walk from Boston’s major music venues, which makes it ideal for pre-show dining. The space offers a calm, upscale setting that’s a nice contrast to the high energy of a concert night. Service is known to be efficient and attentive, meaning you won’t be stressing about getting to your seat on time. Plus, many diners love the scenic city views—great for those Instagram-worthy moments before curtain call.
Reviewers on OpenTable and TripAdvisor consistently praise Blu for its sophisticated atmosphere, beautiful views, and flavorful dishes. The seafood and steak options get high marks, and many mention that it’s a great “hidden gem” above the city buzz. Guests appreciate the quick service and professionalism of the staff, especially when dining on a schedule. The cocktails are described as creative and well-balanced, and the overall vibe is classy without being stuffy.
Some diners note that the entrance—tucked inside a fitness club—can be a bit confusing to find at first. Others mention that the pricing leans toward the upscale side, though most feel the quality and experience justify it. If you’re looking for a loud, bar-style pre-party, Blu may be a bit too serene for your vibe.
For concert-goers who want elegant dining, fast service, and a prime location near Boston’s top venues, Blu is a refined, reliable choice that delivers.

Would return again, because of view, menu and closeness to theaters.
Liked: The view from our table and my menu selection.
Disliked: Price of food is above $30. Only two selections below this amount. So description needs to be updated and I suspect with all the other restaurants also.

I had a rack of lamb that was great! Service was good and I even had dessert which I never do. It was a great dining experience. Been raving about it since!
Liked: The food and atmosphere.
