Cheap YHA Hostel, nice staff,...

Liked: A YHA Youth Hostel, Close to 2 underground stations; St. Paul's and Blackfriars, about 5 or so minute walk. Very close to Saint Paul's Cathedral, a major London Historical attraction. Helpful, friendly staff. Reasonably quick check-in. 24/7 reception. Vending machines in lobby.Lockers in dorm room. Was in a large dorm, sink in room. Toilet and showers are separate. Beds and pillow provided. Small shelf and plock socket next to bed. Good breakfast options available for a fee. Inexpensive bed in a dorm room in London. £15 for one person for 1 night on a Thursday in August. May not always be this cheap.
Disliked: Hostel was quite difficult to find on foot (when walking from underground nstation). The old building has two large steps to enter the building. 4 steps to go up to the receptions and several small steps inside the building to get to the dorm rooms. Not disabled friendly. No lift/elevator to any of the floors. Toilet and Shower separate from the dorm. Only 2 toilets close to the dorm room room. No duvet provided on the bed. No WiFI available in dorm room, only in reception. This is very anoying. Building is quite confusing and lots of door to do through to get too/from dorm room.

Good

Liked: Very friendly staff, 24 hour reception, fantastic location literally seconds from St. Paul's Cathedral and a 10-minute walk to the Globe Theater. Also nice to have a water bottle refill station and the room featured a really big locker where you could even fit your entire bag in.
Disliked: Unfortunately there was no wifi in the women's room on the lower level, which means you have to go to the common area to get wifi. The shower in the women's room would also get flooded constantly and the squeegee left for us would only push the water back towards the shower, but as there was a rim around the shower the water would just sit in a puddle around the rim. So maybe providing some extra rags to put around the shower would be useful.
