A perfect place to stay...

Liked: Our stay at YHA London St. Paul's was nothing short of terrific. It delivered on all advertisements and allowed my friend and I to stay at fantastic location within the city, close restaurants, stores, and public transport. Though we didn't indulge in the breakfast on offer, we did go through the eatery to get to and back from our room, it looked very nice; completely and utterly serviceable at minimum. Staff was more than pleasant to deal with. As is custom at these kinds of hostels but still incredibly welcomed, we were able to leave our bags in a designated space for them as we arrived a couple of hours before check-in was available. The room was nicely and cleanly kept. Places with such traffic of guests that also try to offer affordable accommodation, are doubly challenged to keep things as clean as one would hope for. This place achieves it. All in all, would repeat and would recommend. A great place to stay in the heart of the city if you happen to be visiting London.
Disliked: Nothing that I can easily come up with. Paid for what I got. Cleanliness was at more than an acceptable standard. The room functioned in every facet without a hiccup. No complaints to be had, whatsoever. Expectations were met.

Comfortable and affordable in great...

Liked: We stayed in the family room (room 4) which had a bunk bed (bottom double, upper single) which our 7 year old loved. It also had its own bathroom which was very clean and functional, just a little worn. We spent a very comfortable night but we were a bit disturbed by noises from the street (people talking, occasional vehicle). But the room is on a quiet street so the sound of the bells from St Paul’s wasn’t too bad. There are ear blockers available at reception if needed. Otherwise there is a canteen with breakfast and a comfortable communal space with sofas, Wi-Fi and a vending machine. Reception staff were lovely, and of course the location is unbeatable! And the free luggage space downstairs with free toilets was very convenient (there are also paid lockers for valuables). Overall we loved it!
Disliked: The facilities are a bit tired and worn out, but it’s typical of a busy youth hostel. Overall very clean and well taken care of.
