Great location and clearly a...

Liked: Location is hard to beat, and it’s in a historic building, rooms as clean as you expect from YHA, very clean.
Disliked: It wasn’t clear to me at all that St Paul’s doesn’t have a kitchen, unlike many of its sister YHAs, nothing said on check in which delayed me realising I couldn’t save and cook for myself. I found some of the younger staff quite immature, a member of the kitchen staff told me (wrongly) I wasn’t allowed a bowl or a spoon and the same member of staff along with others were sitting around giggling and flirting with reception staff at night. It didn’t feel super professional and I felt like I was impinging on their space by sitting in a common area to have a sandwich!

Liked: The location is excellent and when you are in a budget, this is the place to go. I´ve stayed here several times. Sometimes with better luck about the room, but usually clen and decent.
Disliked: This time I did not have luck with my bedroom, honestly. So many stairs to get there with my luggage. Not even the wc was in the bedroom and on that floor was just one, and one shower. We were two rooms in that floor and it took time to use both...

In general, it was a...

Liked: The toilets and bathrooms were clean
Disliked: The floor in the hallway and some part of the room were squeaky.I ordered food and the delivery man was. It allowed to leave the food at the reception even though he could not reach me. I understand not wanting to put food from outside in the hostel refrigerator to prevent cross contamination but leaving food at the reception for residents should not be much of a problem

Liked: Spacious rooms, high ceilings , really huge lockers made all the difference. Location excellent. Bit noisy with the window open but i loved hearing st paul's bells and general hustle and bustle.
Disliked: Didn't really get much info when checking in but I'm used to hostels so it wasn't a problem
