Wyndham Houston near NRG Park/Medical Center

Check in was at 3 pm which was ridiculous. Reserved a non-smoking room but the room smelled like cigarettes - even the lobby smelled like cigarettes. Tried to order room service for breakfast but no one answered so we had to drive and find somewhere to eat. For the amount we paid for one night I think it was a rip off - totally disappointed with our stay. The staff were friendly - the only positive I noted.

Disliked: Check in was at 3pm; room smelled like smoke.

Serviceable location close to NRG...

Liked: It's a very dated property, but it was clean and serviceable, and in walking distance to the stadium.
Disliked: Breakfast is not included and the server barely spoke English. A glitch in the computer system made charging breakfast to my room take longer than the actual breakfast ;). The furniture and decor are very dated. It's sad to see a formerly grand hotel slowly go to pieces...

Disliked: The hotel looked gorgeous in the front but they put us in the back and there were many things we didn’t care about. The room smelled like it hadn’t been aired out in forever. The beds were not comfortable. The ac was not cooling at all. So we burned up all night. My husband had to have eye surgery the next day and a follow up in Beaumont the following night so we told the night attendee that we wouldn’t be staying another night. We are still waiting on our $100 refund and refund for the 2nd night.

Liked: The location was the only thing. Easy access to everything.
Disliked: The hotel had a musty smell. It was very run down. The pictures posted are not real. The patio doors did not lock. I was worried about my safety. Once we were in the room, we barricaded ourselves in for our own safety. The staff was nice but there was no way I would do that again. I felt like I was in the movie “The Shining”.

Not worth the money. Only...

Liked: I liked that I was close to the stadium.
Disliked: Very poor overall.
