Wyndham Houston near NRG Park/Medical Center

Check in was at 3 pm which was ridiculous. Reserved a non-smoking room but the room smelled like cigarettes - even the lobby smelled like cigarettes. Tried to order room service for breakfast but no one answered so we had to drive and find somewhere to eat. For the amount we paid for one night I think it was a rip off - totally disappointed with our stay. The staff were friendly - the only positive I noted.

Liked: Close proximity to NRG stadium. I also liked the suite style rooms.The lobby is very nicely decorated. The morning front desk was very pleasant.
Disliked: Sweet Jesus! The hotel does not live up to the Wyndham brand. The hotel had an old, almost mildew smelling odor all throughout. The rooms are very dated and need updating. The large curtains do not close and therefore you are awakened as soon as the sun comes up. The bathroom is tiny with a low drop tile ceiling.

Disliked: Restaurant & bar closed (one of the main reason in selecting this hotel), no diet soda, no refrigerator, no microwave, no hair dryer, ice machine on my floor did not work.

Disliked: We paid for the stay because of the breakfast included rate and then when we got there we were told we have to pay for breakfast. The manager was completely rude and unhelpful when we tried talking to him.

The hotel suite was nice...

Liked: The location was perfect.
Disliked: The property could've been more updated and more amenities.
