Location is always great but...

Liked: As always, Woodlark has great location. It was located walking distance to probably everywhere in Downtown Portland. Also what I like about Woodlark is the modern design/ lobby where it has nice coffee and pastry.
Disliked: We got room number 214 this time (it is my second or third visit at Woodlark) and it was terrible. I could not sleep until 3-4 AM each day because it was so LOUD. Never had this experience before probably because I have always got upper levels in my previous visits..But this time...I hear people screaming, partying, car noises (racing), etc. On top of that, I could not leave my heater on (I was freezing because it was so cold) because it was LOUD as well...The noise it makes everytime I turned it on, it was so loud that it made both my husband and son wake up in the middle of the night... So because it was so cold in my room / loud outside on the streets I could not sleep at all ... And last but not least, we were not aware of the marathon until we checked in, so we had to park really far previous night to avoid the streets being blocked off... This time my experience at Woodlark was bad.. I would consider about returning to this hotel.

Decent and chic in a...

Liked: Cool and chic spot, nice lobby cafe and bar, super friendly and helpful staff.
Disliked: Room felt worn, some stains and broken elements, not all "deluxe" rooms are created equal (my first one had no desk, for example). Felt like it should have been more for the money.

Liked: Comfy beds, nice lobby with coffee shop and lively bar.
Disliked: We stayed at the Woodlark many times and we love it. BUT on room charges (we got charged twice and never got reimbursed) and responding to messages they can improve.
