Good

Liked: Staff & location
Disliked: Single beds rather small, but this is a UK thing. Our room overlooked car park & garden, became noisy between 1:30am & 3am with arguing guests (not hotels fault necessarily), very bad nights sleep. Coffee at breakfast self service in cafeterias, not great coffee, perhaps invest a coffee machine?

Lovely stay and would definitely...

Liked: Room was very nice and recently decorated, the bed was very comfy and a good waterfall shower in the bath. Staff were sufficiently attentive and very friendly.A small car park at the hotel, as expected, but parking on South Street was only £5.80 for 24hrs, so not expensive at all.
Disliked: The room had obviously been decorated, but the wardrobe had certainly seen better days! Seemed a shame to spoil the room. You'd expect to pay slightly more in the bar, but the prices were on par with London's West End.

Superb

Liked: The breakfast was excellent, as was the evening meal in their 400-year-old restaurant. We stayed in Room 1, which was a reasonable size for a couple of nights. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bath towels were super thick. All the staff were very pleasant. The hotel was less than 5 minutes from the centre of Oakham and a short drive to Rutland waters.
Disliked: It was a bit of a squeeze to park our car in their car park, but we managed to do so, and it was free of charge.

Possibly on the Rutland flower...

Liked: Great staff.Room exactly what we needed.Location ideal for our work.Bed comfortable.
Disliked: No room in the car park.No shampoo in the bathroom. No flexibility on breakfast time so instead of being able to sit down at 7.30am and eat we got a take out sausage sandwich, after day 1 we asked for less butter as it was literally dripping with it but day 2 was the same so we couldn’t eat it either day. Basically we paid for breakfast in our booking but got none.
