A good choice

Liked: The bed was comfortable and the room was warm. Breakfast is always nicely prepared. Was very surprised by the restaurant in the evening, expensive but very nicely presented and cooked.
Disliked: The hotel needs some work on cleaning and some maintenance in common areas like stairs, windows etc. Cleaning in bathrooms in particular needs to be improved. One of the days the breakfast was slow and ended up with the wrong order. TVs could do with an upgrade with something that can take casts from apple/android.

Very happy with visit, apart...

Liked: Room and ensuite both very spacious.
Disliked: Car park too small. Had to park in Pay & Display next door and then go out early next morning to pay for another ticket. Long walk to reception with cases, especially as one member of the party uses a walking stick

One of the best hotel...

Liked: Absolutely everything. Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful, the room (#4) was absolutely superb - spacious, clean and the four poster bed was very comfortable. Hot breakfast cooked to order which was very good, as was the accompanying continental selection. We arrived early, intending to park and come back to check in later but were offered early check-in on the spot at no extra cost; fantastic customer service. They were also happy for us to leave the car there the next morning after we had checked out whilst we explored Oakham for a couple of hours.Mainly thanks to the staff, this was quite simply one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. We will be back!
Disliked: Having the private car park is great but the entrance is quite narrow and maneouvring around it is pretty tight.
