Wingate by Wyndham Charlotte Speedway/Concord

First room given had dirty sheets and stained towels. Second room given clean sheets but orange and black mold growing in shower and those little covers they throw over the bottom of bed, well can we say disgusting and not sure if they had ever been washed. Will never return or recommend.

Liked: We had a family emergency and had to cancel our second night and was able to do so without any trouble
Disliked: Would have been nice to have been made aware of the renovations that were in progress. Lady working the front desk could have just been more upfront with what was going on instead of acting nervous & sidestepping our check-in process by keeping on saying I will have to check with housekeeping and then never giving us a time that the room would be ready.

Enjoyed our stay. Bed was very comfortable. It was so quiet! Nice! Bathroom needs to have a vent system. Will take the shuttle to the race the next time. The way the roads were blocked off it was almost impossible to get back to the hotel.

Disliked: Everything else then to top it off, my husband took off his wedding band, left it on the counter accidentally we called to report it and it wasn’t there so someone is not trustworthy It was stolen. We’ll never stay at another one of these hotels ever again.

Disliked: The property appears to be beautiful with the exception of the bed bugs and some minor needed repairs. The day manager Greg Sprouls was very rude and disrespectful about the situation. Yes he offered half off the room, however I was given the run around about how to go about getting the half off discount to the point where now I felt like the room should have been free with all the frustration. Also the 7-8 hours we were in the room prior to checking out it was terrifying because I was afraid of bringing home bed bugs. I literally tied everything we brought to the room up in plastic bags. The stay was a nightmare! Despite the fact that I took pictures,videos and the staff that was on duty came to the room with me and witnessed the bed bugs for herself Greg told me the he and his maintenance guy did not find anything! BULLSHIT! But he told me basically I was lying even though I had proof. Needless to say I’ll NEVER step foot in this hotel again.
