Liked: Very nice room; free continental breakfast was amazing!
Disliked: Only negative is the parking situation. When we returned to the hotel late in the evening there was not a parking spot for us.

Liked: Nice greeting at reception, big and recently updated rooms, large space in lobby (indoor / outdoor) to relax outside the room.
Disliked: As a woman travelling alone, the doors felt a bit insecure (gaps around the doorframe and not a very sturdy door).

A Good Hotel with Street...

Liked: First of all, the Wilshire Crest Hotel commands a great location. Well situated between downtown and West LA, it is particularly convenient to the LA county museums, CBS studios, the Farmers Market and The Grove shopping mall. The staff was polite, friendly and accommodating; they allowed us into the room earlier than scheduled and provided us with a quiet location which we requested in advance. How often do you get what you ask for these days without unpleasant conversations? Not often. Although I had my doubts about the street parking availability and safety, it worked out well. When u check in, they give u a daily placard to display in your window, and we always found parking within a block of the hotel. No problems. Great walkability to museums, shops and restaurants.
Disliked: The room itself had a vintage feel but was comfortable, spacious and well-suited to our needs. The dining room was bare bones and the included breakfast was basic. There was no prepared hot food, but what was offered was adequate enough to begin our day.

Liked: The location is great and the room is clean enough for me. There is a smoking area which is hard to find in other hotel in LA.
Disliked: The door of the room is old.

Disliked: It’s a bit dated, bed was comfortable but creaky. Breakfast could use some more fruits or boiled eggs, more protein less starches and refined sugars.
