Hotel Description
Seventeen acres of beautiful formal gardens and parkland surround this grand Victorian hotel. Fresh produce grown on Willington Hall Hotel's grounds is used in the restaurant's modern British dishes. Antique furnishings are in each individually designed room. Afternoon tea can be taken on the terrace or in the elegant drawing room. The homemade pie of the week is a popular choice in the bar and snacks and drinks are available throughout the day. A sunny day out in the Cheshire countryside can be complimented by one of Willington's picnic hampers. Egyptian cotton linen covers each bed and guests can relax in front of the flat-screen TV. Most rooms have lovely views across the surrounding parkland and countryside. Free private parking is available and Delamere Rail Station is a 10-minute taxi journey away. Bike rides can be enjoyed through the woodland and around the lakes in Delamere Forest which is also just a 10-minute drive away.

Hidden gem

Liked: This was our third visit to Willington , it's a lovely peaceful place to stay and the hotel is charming, the rooms are excellent and the garden views are also very nice , staff and food was excellent, Micheal was very friendly and always there to please , will return again
Disliked: everything seemed good , it would be a good idea to supply water in the room and it could do with a minor touch ups and improvement in the garden and hotel interior, overall very good

Peaceful & relaxing, chance to...

Liked: Super welcome from all staff & other guests. Very cosy, warm, with traditional courtesy -nothing too much. Lovely rural setting. A step back in time - a building with character . Excellent evening meal & breafast. Most efficient check in & out. Highly recommended - we will be back! Thank you
Disliked: Hard to find anything to say here - it surpassed expectations with the friendly welcome & service. This is not a sterile travel lodge, it is a characterful rural escape!

Great hotel but the experience...

Liked: We’d booked to stay there as we were on our way home and it was a lovely country house hotel. The staff were all lovely and the place itself was beautiful and had a lot of history.
Disliked: I’d booked a suite, dinner, bed and breakfast which was all fine but the hotel wanted to charge me an additional £40 for my cockapoo which wasn’t dirty and doesn’t molt. This was extremely disappointing as I’d paid a decent amount for the room.

Beautiful place but rather spoiled...

Liked: Beautiful old building. Spacious but comfortable. Set in lovely grounds giving pleasing views from all the windows.Nicely furnished bedroom and well appointed bathroom (although we couldn't work the window blind)
Disliked: The breakfast was very poor value for money. Despite the very high price there were no yoghurts, no croissants, no fruit, no porridge, no cheese. My wife doesn't eat a cooked breakfast but she still had to pay £15 or a weetabix, slice of toast and a cup of tea. Rather spoiled the overall feel of the stay
