The Spotlight on Wedgewood Hotel

Classic Comfort in the Heart of Bayswater

Set in a charming Victorian townhouse overlooking a quiet garden square, the Wedgewood Hotel offers a cozy, no-frills stay right in the heart of Bayswater. With Queensway and Bayswater Underground Stations just a short stroll away, and Paddington Station within 2 miles, it’s a smart and convenient base for anyone coming to London for a show. The hotel features private en-suite rooms, free Wi-Fi throughout, and a classic London atmosphere at wallet-friendly rates.

Why Concert-goers love it

The Wedgewood Hotel scores points for its easy access to central London music venues via multiple Tube lines, making it a breeze to get to your gig and back. Being set on a peaceful garden square means quiet nights when you're ready to wind down post-show. Plus, with 24-hour front desk service and a handy location near Paddington Station, late-night returns or early departures are a non-issue.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a central base without breaking the bank
- Solo travelers in town for that once-in-a-lifetime concert
- Couples making a weekend getaway of their music experience
- Fans wanting a quieter post-concert recovery space
- Budget-conscious music lovers who just need the essentials

Food and Drink Options

While the Wedgewood doesn’t have an on-site restaurant, you’re just steps away from a range of late-night eateries in Bayswater and Queensway. Whether you're after a late curry, fish and chips, or a quick bite from a corner shop, it’s all within walking distance. Several nearby cafés offer breakfast service if you’ve had a late night, and many spots open early so you can grab a bite before heading home.

Nightlife Options

Though the hotel itself is more of a retreat than a party spot, it’s surrounded by bars, pubs, and lounges in the Bayswater area. You’re also a short Tube ride from Soho and Camden — two of London’s most iconic nightlife districts. Perfect for a pre-show pint or a post-gig nightcap.

What People Say

Guests love the great location and proximity to transport. Many mention the charming garden views and the hotel’s value for money. Clean rooms, helpful staff, and quiet surroundings make it a favourite for travelers who want a reliable place to recharge.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms can be on the small side, and the furnishings are fairly basic — but if you're here for the music, not the minibar, it does the job. Some guests note that the building shows its age, though it adds to the London townhouse charm.

The Bottom Line

A budget-friendly, well-connected hotel perfect for concert-goers who want a peaceful night’s sleep after the show.

Good location, but single rooms...

Liked: The location is great for the Wedgewood Hotel as it is very close to all train lines. Also, very close to Nothing Hill and Hyde park etc.
Disliked: The single room is quite small, and considering the price, the room has not much space to move around.

It was pretty good. I...

Liked: The service was really kind and helpful, area is great as a starting point of any journey to the city, super close to metro and other public transport options. A lot of bars and restaurants around. Generally nice area. The TV had.....ALL the channels of the world :) I really enjoyed my stay. There were few things that could be better, but for the price that i paid, it was probably better than expected.Would i come back there? Most likely. If you are looking for a place to spend few night in, while mostly out in the city the whole day - it's a good choice.
Disliked: The room was small but well organized. It was an old building, there was a 2cm gap under the door, which i think i could break open with a harder push. Walls are so thin that you can hear a fly fart 2 floors higher, the bathroom was not best quality, the shower was leaking badly due to a bad design, so one of the towels had to be there just as a flood gate. If you are looking for a comfortable room where you can relax during the day - look for something more expensive/better.

Lovely time in London, this...

Liked: The location was excellent, I was attending an event in Hyde Park and the hotel was located perfectly. Additionally, it was located perfectly for travelling the day after.
Disliked: There were a few stains on the bed that was slightly gross and the fire exit/ stairs was quite difficult to locate which would’ve been an issue had there been a fire.
