The Spotlight on Wedgewood Hotel

Classic Comfort in the Heart of Bayswater

Set in a charming Victorian townhouse overlooking a quiet garden square, the Wedgewood Hotel offers a cozy, no-frills stay right in the heart of Bayswater. With Queensway and Bayswater Underground Stations just a short stroll away, and Paddington Station within 2 miles, it’s a smart and convenient base for anyone coming to London for a show. The hotel features private en-suite rooms, free Wi-Fi throughout, and a classic London atmosphere at wallet-friendly rates.

Why Concert-goers love it

The Wedgewood Hotel scores points for its easy access to central London music venues via multiple Tube lines, making it a breeze to get to your gig and back. Being set on a peaceful garden square means quiet nights when you're ready to wind down post-show. Plus, with 24-hour front desk service and a handy location near Paddington Station, late-night returns or early departures are a non-issue.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a central base without breaking the bank
- Solo travelers in town for that once-in-a-lifetime concert
- Couples making a weekend getaway of their music experience
- Fans wanting a quieter post-concert recovery space
- Budget-conscious music lovers who just need the essentials

Food and Drink Options

While the Wedgewood doesn’t have an on-site restaurant, you’re just steps away from a range of late-night eateries in Bayswater and Queensway. Whether you're after a late curry, fish and chips, or a quick bite from a corner shop, it’s all within walking distance. Several nearby cafés offer breakfast service if you’ve had a late night, and many spots open early so you can grab a bite before heading home.

Nightlife Options

Though the hotel itself is more of a retreat than a party spot, it’s surrounded by bars, pubs, and lounges in the Bayswater area. You’re also a short Tube ride from Soho and Camden — two of London’s most iconic nightlife districts. Perfect for a pre-show pint or a post-gig nightcap.

What People Say

Guests love the great location and proximity to transport. Many mention the charming garden views and the hotel’s value for money. Clean rooms, helpful staff, and quiet surroundings make it a favourite for travelers who want a reliable place to recharge.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms can be on the small side, and the furnishings are fairly basic — but if you're here for the music, not the minibar, it does the job. Some guests note that the building shows its age, though it adds to the London townhouse charm.

The Bottom Line

A budget-friendly, well-connected hotel perfect for concert-goers who want a peaceful night’s sleep after the show.

Good value for money

Liked: Small, clean room. Nice, quiet area. Small bed, but quite comfortable. Great location.
Disliked: Room a bit warm and stuffy. Never got the WiFi working. TV- reception variable. Coffee and tea making stuff in the room, but had to ask for cup. They didn't have glasses, not even plastic. Some noise from other rooms.

Perfect

Liked: I was lucky to get room with big windows and high ceilings and felt myself a bit like time traveler somewhere between Victorian times and 1980s. :) Superb location. Quiet place and metro is 10 min away. Wifi worked perfectly. Bathroom doors look like entrance to Narnia, but it is clean and comfortable to use. Good hairdryer.

Great location but hotel could...

Liked: Location, pleasant staff and luggage storage facilities
Disliked: Double bed is very very small more like a European single. Tv only had one channel, no plug for bathroom sink. Couldn't open the windows as they were locked. Could have another bedside table or shelf and only 1 wall socket for charging. One lamp above the bed didn't work. Photos listed didn't match what we were given

Great location and affordable for...

Liked: Second time I stay at this hotel and main reason is the location. It is close to the center with public transport but no so much that it gets too expensive. Really affordable, kind staff, and well located in a really nice area.
Disliked: Before getting there I received plenty of messages asking me to click a link to confirm my reservation. Later they told me the messages didn't come from them, but still it made me worry. Also, is a bit annoying to leave the key at reception everytime we leave the hotel, but it was not a big deal.
