Very nice staff but the...

Liked: Very helpful and friendly staff.
Disliked: The hotel doesn't look like it's been renovated since the nineties. It's pretty grim. It's a budget hotel but it doesn't mean it can't be a bit fresher.

Very disappointing and uncomfortable night

Liked: Location was fab for what we needed and was good value but very basic and rooms very tired and dated.
Disliked: The noise at nightime was horrendous slamming of doors in corridor all night and the noise from room upstairs till into the early hours with people shouting swearing and fighting.

Theft and excessive heat in...

Liked: Staff very helpful and pleasant, it was well priced, and served its requirements
Disliked: Property stolen from car park, along with room being uncomfortably hot

Liked: The location was perfect for our trip.
Disliked: The only negative I have which really wasn’t an issue either is that the property is dated.

Wish we had just drive...

Liked: The location was handy as a stopover for Alton towers
Disliked: The bathroom was very dated which would have been fine if it was clean. Broken tiles, mould in many places. The bedroom wasn’t overly clean either. There is a phone to use when arriving for check in, we had to ring five or six times and then had to go into the restaurant next door to ask them to find someone to check us in.

Cheap and well located, but...

Liked: Friendly welcome and lovely staff
Disliked: There was an intermittent and unidentifiable low droning/hum. We were provided with another room but this suffered the same issue. There was also a stale smoke smell in corridors.

Great stay at a great...

Liked: Great location for alton towers, McDonalds, tesco and aldi all right outside aswell at their restaurant Very comfortable bed, shower could strip the bark off a tree 10/10
Disliked: The hotel is a little old but fit for purpose, could it use a carpet cleaner and some paint, absolutely but that didnt impact the stay

2nd time staying here and...

Liked: Staff were lovely especially the lady on reception and the lady serving breakfasts. It’s in a perfect location being only 20 minutes from Alton towers, which was our reason for staying again. Rooms are a lovely size and very comfortable.
Disliked: Only thing about this property is the decor. The rooms could do with a bit of an update.
