Liked: Very friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable, clean, cosy and quiet room. We ordered dinner a few days before arriving and the three course meal was delicious as was breakfast next morning. Absolutely recommend Waitaki Braids.

Nice place to stay if...

Liked: I was able to park my trike underneath the overhang to keep it out of the rain. Dinner was great.
Disliked: Nothing

Thoroughly enjoyable & would recommend...

Liked: The service from Jess in particular. We liked the resful outlook on to the garden & hills, & the sympathetic restoration of the original old building. The decor & artwork also suited the style & history of the building.
Disliked: I hadn’t expected not being able to make a cuppa in our room, but the tea/coffee station at the end of the corridor sufficed. I would have liked a box of tissues in our room- just a minor detail however.

Liked: Very Satisfying, Well Cooked Breakfast for my partner, the Granola was very tasty, the venue was very well organised, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The ambience of the entire building was very satisfying
Disliked: Absolutely nothing, there was nothing not to like, even the location of the premesis was very convenient as it was close to town and other tourist attractions. Very clean and tidy facilities. Very well managed location

An unexpected gem!

Liked: Huge rooms, each were clean, tidy and the showers are amazing! We were leaving early so the hosts put out breakfast in the restaurant so we could eat before we hit the road. It was such a lovely touch. I wish we had longer! Top tip, when you book, message the restaurant and book in for dinner. Failing that, the Waitaki pub had a good menu.

A real gem which delivers...

Liked: A great breakfast/brunch menu available and the cafe is centrally located. It really is a home away from home. Very friendly staff, great food and wine plus the CEO Ollie the terrier who is great company.
