Disappointing experience despite a nice...

Disliked: It's hard to rate this stay, because the hotel itself is quite nice - well-designed, with a good location and a rooftop pool. However, the way we were treated and the lack of transparency on the hotel's website were very disappointing.We booked a standard room, which turned out to be one of several rooms per floor facing an interior shaft - something that was not mentioned anywhere in the listing. These rooms have no daylight at all. We were on the 7th floor, with 7 more floors above us, and there was no sky to be seen - only walls about a meter from the window on all sides. The room was pitch dark at all times, like a cell. This is not a budget motel; it’s a hotel that presents itself as a higher-end place. In my opinion, offering rooms like this without warning (and for the same price as bright rooms with windows facing outside) is unacceptable and misleading. Photos showed a regular window, which was not at all representative.We had just arrived from Europe and were dealing with jet lag, so access to daylight was especially important for us. Sadly, the front desk staff was unhelpful and even dismissive of our complaint. There was no willingness to offer a solution or to show any understanding - it felt like we were simply being ignored. Only after persistent complaints and quite an unpleasant confrontation the next day with a different staff member we were finally moved to other room. This is something that should have been handled immediately.The second room we were given was much better: bright, comfortable, and well-appointed. Had we been placed there from the beginning, our experience would probably have been a positive one. But after everything that happened, I can’t recommend this hotel - I would worry others might end up in the same situation. Sadly, we are unlikely to return.

Liked: The staff were attentive. They made sure I was cared for and remembered my name each day.
Disliked: Uber maps can’t seem to get your location right. Each day they were guided to the back alley of your hotel. I always had to walk to the corner to find them.
