Liked: Great location, pretty looking, good bar and food. Very friendly staff
Disliked: It wasn’t clean, very dated and broken bathroom and wood chip on the walls! Might have been ok if it was clean. Needs a refresh and update!

Great location but a bit...

Liked: Brilliant location, right in the high street and has parking available. Lovely quaint pub/inn. Staff were lovely, particularly the gentleman covering the reception and the bar
Disliked: The mattress was completely done. Had a big hole in the middle. We did let them know in the morning but dont see it could have been missed. Very few plugs in the room..but it is an old building. Room paintwork etc was a bit tired

Good location, needs updating.

Liked: Location is great if you need to be in central Stafford.it has a nice bar and friendly staff.I know from experience they offer parking on site, although limited.
Disliked: The room was awful.The pillows are extremely thin and cheap foam pillows, only two for a double bed!Bathroom had no blind and although the lower part of the window is opaque, the upper part is clear glass and surrounded by taller buildings, hence we did not use the shower.No Air Conditioning, its high time we admit we need AC in the UK, we had no chose but to keep the lower ground window wide open to have any chance of a bedroom with a reasonable temperature to allow us to get some sleep.this obviously was a Security concern and led to a lot of noise with people outside trying to enjoy their Saturday night.Who really serves Nescafe in sachets anymore, this was acceptable in the 1980's when people thought Nescafe Gold was posh, but really not anymore. get a cheap cafetiera and some real coffee.woke up in the morning to be treated by a large, abandoned, half eaten, kebab outside our room.Some plug sockets look like they have been replaced recently, but don't work.

Perfect for a visit to...

Liked: Great staff, very attentive and lots of them. Perfect location as it's so close to Stafford centre, and has a secure car park. The hotel is a lovely old building full of character and wood beams. The hotel is located on a quiet road so we had very little noise. Our room was a good size, a massive bed and had all the furniture we needed. Good breakfast and very reasonable prices.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Nice clean room, staff were polite enough
Disliked: Car park spaces are very tight, halls walking up to the room smelled like weed a bit? Room although a single and in the centre of town, was pretty small

Liked: Easy check in and out. Friendly staff. Evening meal at the pub was tasty and good value. Great location in centre of town.

Liked: Great location super helpful staff, great food, the room was nice and the bed so comfy and what really stood out was the really friendly welcome :)
