With a restaurant, Starbucks, fitness facilities, and modern rooms featuring Sky Sports and free Wi-Fi, it’s a smart base for fans on the go.

Why Concert-goers love it

Whether you're catching a show at Portsmouth Guildhall or heading to a waterfront gig, this hotel’s location—just 4 miles from Portsmouth Port and 5 miles from the Historic Dockyard—makes post-concert travel easy. Free parking and quick motorway access are perfect for road-trippers, while the hotel’s quiet business park setting offers a peaceful place to wind down after the noise of a live show. With late check-in from 3:00 PM and a chilled-out vibe, it’s well suited for night owls.

Food and Drink Options

The on-site Village Pub & Grill serves up all-day dining with a focus on local produce—ideal for a pre-show bite or post-gig nosh. Need caffeine for the morning after? Areas for Improvement

Some guests note the hotel is in a business park, so it’s not in the heart of the action. You’ll need a car or cab to reach central Portsmouth venues. Also, some amenities like Business Club access come with an extra charge.

The Bottom Line

A stylish, well-equipped hotel with solid dining and leisure options—Village Hotel Portsmouth is a top pick for concert-goers who want comfort, convenience, and good vibes after the show.

Perfect location, perfect stay.

Liked: The property was in a perfect location for us, a couple of minutes walk from the shuttle bus to Victorious festival. Rooms were very comfortable, bed was huge as was the shower. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay again.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff would...

Liked: Lovely large room. Cleaner very efficient to replace items requested. Bed was very comfortable and air con was wonderful.
Disliked: Not much natural light- needed lights on a lot. It was a fully accessible room so room space was fine but the shower attachment was just a bit too low (we are both short so it wasn’t the end of the world but a full height shower would have been better)

Friendly, clean with exceptional facilities.

Liked: As soon as you walk into the hotel you notice how bright and welcoming the property is. It also helps smelling fresh coffee from the Starbucks to the right of the reception. It has a well laid out bar on the left side of the the reception which is also where breakfast is served. The room we stayed in was a club room which had plenty of space and was very clean, after being out all day getting into the room and jumping in the fantastic shower was great. Once settled and dry the rest in the, I would say king sized bed, was super comfy and also had plenty of plump pillows which was a pleasant surprise. We got up for 7am a went to gym before breakfast where we were greeted by very helpful staff. The gym itself was large and filled with lots of modern equipment. We went for breakfast around 9 and again the staff were super helpful and friendly. The breakfast itself was very tasty with a large selection of fruits, meats pastries and so on. The overall experience was fantastic, the hotel staff were very helpful friendly and really could not do enough for you. This has to be one of my favourite hotels.

Not recommended

Liked: Handy location for park and ride for Victorious Festival
Disliked: Very small room. Lack of natural light. Lairy decoration. Massive TV screens in restaurant showing noisy football match. Very lacklustre service at breakfast. Staff had to be chased to get food refilled. Poor value for money.
