Very good hotel with all...

Liked: Price, location, In-house Starbucks
Disliked: Treatment of staff at the pool. I’m writing to express my disappointment with how my family was treated by the staff at the swimming pool. My children, who are capable swimmers, wanted to use the pool, but were told they could not unless an adult was physically inside the pool with them. Despite my wife supervising them closely, she and the children were asked to leave because she was not in the water. We were not informed beforehand about this policy, nor were we told that phone use near the pool area was prohibited. What are the specific risks and hazards that justify these rules? It’s important for such guidelines to be communicated clearly and applied reasonably. In situations where the adult is not dressed to swim or is confident in their children's swimming abilities, some flexibility and empathy would go a long way. This experience left our children upset, especially since the pool was the primary reason we chose this hotel at the last minute. It’s disheartening when rules are enforced rigidly without considering individual circumstances. Moreover, it’s deeply concerning when such enforcement appears harsher toward people of different backgrounds or skin color. Fairness and humanity should be part of every guest interaction.I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve how rules are communicated and enforced, so all guests feel welcomed and respected.

OK, some great points, some...

Liked: Conservatory area. Whilst not to my liking especially thought the pub was a demonstration of how a hotel can make their bar area and top class area for families. TV's great, menu great. Suana and Steam Room were good. Good at providing extra blankets and replacement towels. Shower was good
Disliked: Breakfast was bang average, limited choice, typical mass produced bacon etc. Pool was small for a hotel the jucazzi was really only ok for one. First time ever in dozens and dozens of hotel trip I was refused entry as it was full. Even given my wife went in 2 mins earlier so not ideal at all.

Ok but would not stay...

Liked: Rooms clean and bright
Disliked: Breakfasts were poor either full English or very little else, you need to have a much wider healthy selection.

Need to give staff the...

Liked: Clean , well located, friendly helpful staff.
Disliked: We requested a family room however when we arrived there weren’t any towels and the extra bed (sofa bed) wasn’t made up and there wasn’t any duvet covers for us to make it up ourselves. We told reception who made a note about 3pm we went out came back quite late with our child asleep and needed to go straight to bed however the towels had arrived but the bed was still not made up and no covers had been delivered. We all had to sleep in two single beds that had been pushed together. My husband woke up with a bad back. Before arriving it didn’t allow us to book 2 adults and 1 child’s breakfast it defaulted to 3 full price breakfasts and so we waited until we arrived to speak to reception where we were able to purchase x2 breakfasts at 12.50 each and told to negotiate child’s breakfast in the restaurant. Once in the hotel room there was a welcome card with a QR code for breakfasts for £10 per person and so we went back to reception to ask for a refund , to which they said if the QR code works we’l get the manager to refund you in the morning as they don’t have authorisation. We spoke to the manager in the morning which took quite a while and we had to rush to check out in time. We were given 25% off the room price of £123 which we didn’t really feel made up for how uncomfortable our night was and a free drink from Starbucks.
