Class, style, and Old World...

Liked: Everything was beyond perfect. Our host was the absolutely the most welcoming and gracious you could ask for.It was like traveling back in time to a bygone era, full of antiques and old world charm. :-)
Disliked: I was traveling to the New York Marathon and unfortunately my schedule did not allow me to stay longer.I look forward to staying here again.

Liked: Breakfast was amazing! So much variety. There were croissants, eggs, ham, yogurt, jams, muffins and so much more! Ms. D was a wonderful host and if you get the chance, you might just meet fellow travelers staying in the house. It's always nice to meet new people and share stories.
Disliked: You need to climb up the stairs. It's a 3-floored house, so if you happen to stay on the top floor, it wouldn't be ideal to bring a big luggage. We stayed overnight so luckily we only had a small carry-on.

Liked: I liked everything about the house: the history, the furnishings and above all the welcome of the landlady, a truly kind lady.
Disliked: The toilets are shared with other customers.

Wonderful accommodations at a very...

Liked: Lovely Victorian home. We had a second floor room (all rooms are on the 2nd or 3rd floor). There are two rooms on that floor with a shared bathroom. Bed was VERY comfortable and our room also had a fully equipped kitchen. The only thing lacking was grounded outlets. There was one in the kitchen, which I used to plug my laptop charger into, otherwise pack some adaptors. Very quiet room and neighborhood. On street parking - there was always a spot for us right in front of the house. It you love older homes you'll LOVE this place. Breakfast was excellent and varied each morning with just about anything you want and more. Lovely host. Staten Island Ferry is 3.5 miles away with parking that is a maximum of $25/day - a real bargain - and the ferry is free. I didn't rate it a 10 because, well, 10 is perfect and 1 is the absolute worst, so I never rate places 1 or 10. When you consider breakfast for two plus the room, I believe this place is a real bargain.
Disliked: More grounded outlets or adaptors. The host may have had some but I didn't think to ask.
