Liked: The location is good
Disliked: The hotel blocks a payment on your card before arrival and charges you again upon arrival. They mention they will refund you after but you need to pay twice. In addition, you need to leave your keys in the reception every time you leave the hotel. Lastly, the hotel has charged my card for a breakfast I did not consume. Bad experience overall.

Great value, central hotel with...

Liked: The hotel is in a great, very central location just minutes from the metro to the airport and the lively downtown area. The staff were all very friendly, kind and professional and were a highlight of my stay at the Vera Cruz. The price was also very reasonable for the location and breakfast was just right - lots of choice and located in a rooftop area which has views over the central square and neighbouring areas. I would highly recommend.

Upgrade the place or shut...

Liked: The room was old, with old f5urniture and cramped. the small refrigerator was horrible as was the 12" TV. The chair was too low for the desk height. I had to put pillows on the chair to be at the proper height of the desk. After flying 3,500 miles from CA, this was a disappointment. The staff was good. They even offered me a different room for $25.00 more per night, but it wasn't worth it. The pictures on the website showed the room are bright, airy and wiith modern furniture. It was just the opposite. They need to remodel the place or show accurate pictures of the entire place. Finally, their printed material said they they would charge one-half days rent if you washed clothes in the bathroom. What a joke.
