Uptown...? I think Not!

Liked: The staff remained calm in spite of being yelled at by several other parties in the lobby.
Disliked: I booked a room for a 2 night stay and up on arrival, the hotel didn't appear as uptown as the photos appeared. The Uptown Oasis was way overbooked. We didn't have a room, along with about 10 other parties waiting in the lobby at the time I arrived. We had to go find other accomodations last minute, on a very busy night for that area. They acted as though a refund was processed to my card and I found that I had to go through booking.com to process my refund 4 days later when I noticed my account had indeed not been refunded. Our other room that we found was more than double the price for the weekend, as most hotels were already booked. So, had I not had enough money in my account at that time, we might have been sleeping in our truck for 2 nights. Absolutely not acceptable to overbook a hotel in hopes of cancellations. When I looked for another room online, Uptown Oasis, was still taking reservations for the same days. Smdh. Don't ruin people's trips Uptown Oasis. This is absolutely unacceptable. I personally would like to be reimbursed the difference that I had to pay for another room.

Conveniently located and functional

Liked: It was affordable and conveniently located relatively close to the SAP center and the airport, so a good location overall.
Disliked: We were checking in around 5 p.m. and had to wait in line for about 45 minutes. Fortunately, I had already filled out the pre-check-in information online, so we did have a room, but quite a few people in front of us couldn't get into their rooms yet because the rooms still weren't ready despite the fact that it was 6pm on a Saturday. Also, half of the power outlets in our room weren't working in the room and the walls were pretty thin.

Liked: Nice pool and much quieter than I had expected.
Disliked: It would have been nice to have a restaurant on site.

Disliked: Didn’t receive my room that I reserved within days and I wasn’t the only family that it happened that day. Very difficult to find another hotel the same day.
