Liked: Location is convenient Bed comfortable
Disliked: AC didn’t work despite requesting help multiple times Floor was duct taped Carpets and red velvet chairs stained A woman was “scream moaning” for 20 min one morning No facilities or coffee

You pay for the location

Liked: Friendly staff. Rooms are clean and a comfortable size. Good shower water pressure. Location is great - close to transport, food options, landmarks. If you're just looking for a no-frills place to sleep then it's adequate
Disliked: For the price paid we expected more than bare minimum amenities (no water, crockery, tea/coffee or fridge provided, hair dryer and safe not working, no bathroom kits other than shampoo/conditioner/shower gel). Furnishings are old and beds are very soft. No breakfast. It's not what you would expect out of a traditional 3-star hotel, but unfortunately the hefty price is because of the accommodation shortage in NYC and the location in Manhattan.

Great location!! Outdated but spacious...

Liked: Perfect location!! The hotel is just a few minutes away to Grand Central Station. If you're an avid walker, most of the main tourist spots are walking distance - Summit One (8mins), Empire State (12min), Rockefeller (16min), Times Square (20min), etc.The room is very spacious and there's a fridge which is nice. The staff are nice and helpful. Shower has good water pressure.The fitness centre is also okay-ish. Looks big in the photo but not really in person but it has good exercise machine & space to do yoga/pilates.
Disliked: The airconditioning isn't working properly, we can barely feel it! We visited in April and got lucky with nice sunny weather but after a day of walking, the room won't feel cold even if we put it to the lowest temp! The staff can't do anything about it.The room looks outdated and old but okay enough & spacious - we kinda expected it cos of the other reviews but still hits differently once you see it. We can only connect to the wifi in the lobby and area of the room which is close to the door - can't connect properly tbh! The towels and beddings are clean but not so much and poor quality. No coffee or tea and kettle in the room - seems like its not common in the US.It doesn't really meet the hotel expectations for the price we pay - but i guess that's Manhattan area e

Liked: The room was big, clean, beautiful and had good heat. Great sheets, towels and stuff.
Disliked: It didn’t have a fridge! Not enough trash baskets. Not enough (we had to ask for it every day…) and bad quality toilet paper, different from the first day. Too bad for the amount we pay for the stay. No soap in the sink, you had to reach the one fixed inside the shower which was not near. They gave free capsule coffee but for just 2 days, told us were for all… weird

Ideal location but not comfortable

Liked: Spacious room.Ideal location as walking distance from Grand Central Station.
Disliked: No laundry service.Poor internet. Slow and unstable.Cold welcome. Don't expect a smile at reception except for Erica who was kind and welcoming Noisy air-conditioningNo view and the pictures on Booking only show the magnificent view from the penthouse. Not Accessible to other guests who see only the wall and windows of the next building.Not 4-star in my opinion
