TRYP by Wyndham Newark Downtown

Excellent staff all around. Friendly and engaging every time we stay here. Everyone from the front desk to house keeping are top notch. On this stay Roberto and GM Joseph Macedo went above and beyond. TRYP Newark is the only place we will stay for our yearly visit back home.

Liked: Outstanding.
Disliked: Absolutely nothing.

When we got to our room there was only one bed (thought I booked 2 beds); no chair and we had what looked like dried blood on our light switch! Called the front desk. They changed our room. We still had only 1 bed and when I pulled the bedding down there was hair in the bed. We were exhausted and made the best of it. Hoping never to go back!

Liked: Clean, quiet, large bathroom, bed was pretty comfortable, good wifi
Disliked: No room service, very few amenities, restaurant was very loud with few options, no desk or chair of any kind

Great for those who travel...

Liked: Good value for money, close to Newark Penn Station. Clean room with a comfortable bed. Complementary shuttle service to the airport and train station.
Disliked: Breakfast only for extra payment and a bit overpriced.

Disliked: Advertising pet friendly, fees may apply. No price listed. When you get there it’s an extra $75 for one night! too late. Not owner friendly! Guess what- pets don’t have wallets. taking advantage of people traveling to hospital with pets for a gotcha fee. If a hotel respects us, we will in return! Otherwise we’ll use our $75 to the full extent
