The Spotlight on Troy Hotel

Stylish Stay Steps from Hyde Park and London’s Music Scene

Modern and comfortable, Troy Hotel is set in the heart of London’s cosmopolitan Bayswater district. Just a 2-minute walk from serene Kensington Gardens and close to the buzz of Queensway, this hotel blends peaceful surroundings with easy access to the city's top music venues. With sleek rooms, free Wi-Fi, and a welcoming vibe, it’s a practical base for concert-goers who want comfort without the fuss.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything — and Troy Hotel delivers. You're just a few minutes’ walk from Queensway and Bayswater Tube Stations, making it easy to zip across London to events, even those running late. After the show, retreat to a quieter neighborhood where you can actually get some sleep. While check-in starts at 14:00, the reception is helpful with storing bags if you arrive early.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends who want a no-fuss, central crash pad
  • Solo travelers chasing a dream gig with easy transport links
  • Couples turning a concert into a weekend getaway
  • Fans wanting a quieter post-concert recovery space near green parks
  • Budget-conscious music fans needing value in a central location

Food and Drink Options

Troy Hotel serves a daily continental breakfast — perfect if you rolled in late but still want a bite before sightseeing. While there’s no restaurant or bar on-site, you’re surrounded by local eateries, pubs, and late-night spots in Bayswater and nearby Queensway. Grab a kebab, a curry, or some dim sum all within a short stroll.

Nightlife Options

Though the hotel itself keeps things low-key, you’re close to a range of nightlife options. From cozy pubs to international bars lining Queensway, there’s something to match your post-concert mood. And with quick Tube access, you can easily explore Soho or Camden’s live music and club scenes, then retreat back to peace and quiet.

What People Say

Guests on Booking.com and TripAdvisor love the location, especially for Hyde Park concerts and easy Tube access. The hotel earns praise for its cleanliness and helpful staff, and many have mentioned it offers solid value for central London. The neighborhood’s quiet vibe is appreciated after a loud night out.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms aren’t large, and the decor is simple, but if you’re just here to sleep after a show, it does the trick. There’s no air conditioning, which can matter in summer, and the continental breakfast is basic — but with so many cafés nearby, it’s easy to find alternatives.

The Bottom Line

Troy Hotel is a smart, affordable choice for concert-goers who want comfort, access, and a quiet place to recharge between shows.

Pleasant hotel that could offer...

Liked: The hotel was very well located right next to Kensington Gardens, at 5 min. walk to metro stations, grocery shops and restaurants. Staff at the reception was friendly.
Disliked: The room felt like still being renovated - e.g. the painter tape was still on. The floor was uneven at places. The double bed was very narrow (barely 135 cm). The elevator was barely lit. Breakfast options were minimal: no fried eggs, no meat of any kind (no cold cuts, bacon or sausage), no vegetables, not even baked beans. The jam-and-toast type options available were all of the cheapest kind. It felt really low quality for the price.
