Not very many places offer...

Liked: The staff was outstanding. All of them. Kathleen in the dining area, everyone at the front desk, and everyone who came to the room to deliver linens or towels--everyone was exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and just NICE. We had two elderly people with walkers, and the staff was very accommodating.We were in a two-bedroom suite. We did like the extra storage in the living room and the hard tray top for the ottoman. We also VERY MUCH appreciated the separate thermostats for each room!
Disliked: The suite was clean and had what we needed, although I did have to ask for linens for the sofa bed and extra towels, even though the hotel knew in advance that there were four of us. The living area furniture was kind of shabby. The mattress on the sofa bed was thin, not great, but not too bad. We had a two-bedroom suite with bathroom and kitchenette, and every area was clean. Only the furniture in the living area was sort of uninviting. The breakfast was so-so. I would have liked better breakfast meats. And real syrup.

Liked: The reception woman at 7pm was so helpful with restaurants, sights etc,
Disliked: The carpets and furniture in our room were dirty/stsined

Liked: This was our first stay at a TownePlace Suites and we were beyond thrilled.The room was large, very clean, and super cozy. They staff was extremely helpful, kind, and funny! They gave great insight on places to eat and things to do- and smiled everytime we came or left. Breakfast was hot and fully stocked both mornings we were there. We will definitely be returning if ever in Charleston again- and look forward to staying in other TownePlace Suites while traveling!
Disliked: If I had to nit-pick one thing.. our shower soap was empty.. But in the grand scheme of things, who cares! We used the bar of soap provided at the sink and survived just fine.

Liked: The location was great. Easy to get to everything and plenty of parking. However, the room was not good. The doors to all the rooms are white paint and they have dirt showing on them. So right off the bat it doesn’t seem super clean. The carpet in our room was torn and ripping up. Weird stains on walls and lots of rusting. The linens were clean though. I did ask about when the rooms would be cleaned and they said every other day. So the day it was due to clean, we returned around 3 pm and our room had not been touched. When I called they said their next person would do it when they arrived at 4. Came back at 9:30 pm and still a pile of dirty towels, no clean replacements. Had to call again for that. I will say though the front desk staff was very pleasant and friendly about it, but there seems to be a disconnect with it getting done. Overall, not a terrible stay but wouldn’t be back. As for breakfast, very standard no complaints there at all. Again, pleasant staff. Was always greeted and they were very nice.
