Good place to stay overnight...

Liked: The hotel is attached to a major restaurant. It's really a restaurant with some hotel rooms attached, so food is never a problem! We had dinner at the restaurant, and were able to upgrade our reservation to include the breakfast buffet too. We stayed here due to proximity to EDI airport. It's super handy to take a taxi/uber to the airport from this location. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as we had things we needed to put in a fridge and they stored them for us in the kitchen. Despite our room facing the main street, the windows are double-paned and it was surprisingly quiet!
Disliked: The room is very small, but functional. The bathroom is likewise small, but we were only there for one night, so it wasn't a problem. If one is thinking of staying here several nights, it's tight for a couple to share the bathroom. It is right on a very busy street so walking around is not super fun.

Great location and value with...

Liked: The hotel is in a great location. From the airport we took bus 100 and it stops a five minute walk from the hotel. Also, right outside the hotel you can take bus 31 to princess street in view of the castle and a short walk to the royal mile. It was great having a restaurant with good food at a very reasonable price. All the staff, regardless of their position within the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. Having been to quite a few hotels over the years it’s probably in the top 2 of friendliest!The hotel was clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was very clean. Kettle, tea and coffee was provided in the room. I was very happy with my stay.

Liked: Love staying here. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Comfortable accomodation. Food is excellent. Well positioned for public transport to city centre.
Disliked: No negative comments.

Lovely place to stay for...

Liked: We loved the location, the bar/dining area is still very lovely and well kept. You can hop on the bus in town right outside or to get to the airport. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful to us - we were a bigger group in and had different check in and out times.
Disliked: We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel but the rooms were very hot - summer in Edinburgh can be quite uncomfortable without some sort of AC or fan. The rooms were also on the smaller side - we found ourselves having to try and get around each other a lot.
