Perfect for an event at...

Liked: The location was perfect for our needs. The elevators made me feel safe.
Disliked: Valet was backed up upon arrival and there was no one directing the traffic. One guest jumped the queue extending the wait of others who were rule followers. No attention to detail. The tables had not been wiped down, no napkins at the bar. These are little things, but when you are paying for a high end hotel, you expect a certain standard.

Disliked: I had mistakenly left my dental retainers in the bathroom and I tried to contact the hotel by phone but there was never any answer. I tried several numbers to get in contact somehow with them but to no avail. I wrote messages via booking.com and also wrote an email but again no response. I finally was directed to a site for lost and found claims. After I filed the claim, they responded that they did not find it. I was very disappointed in not being able to communicate with them directly right away. No one ever answered.

Liked: Love how clean and modern the hotel. Staff super friendly and the location was excellent so close to restaurants and amenities. Navy yard waterfront is steps away and is so beautiful. Short Uber ride to capital hall where all the capital attractions are. Would stay at the Thompson hotel again when I return, and would recommend to everyone! Read a lot of reviews and decided on the Thompson as it was luxury for the right price without compromising any luxury!
