Could have been excellent.

Liked: We had a lovely room and fab bathroom Beds were comfy, all good.
Disliked: Toilet roll in bathroom had not been replaced, only small amount left on roll. No spare in cupboard or room so we had take a roll from the lounge toilet in the morning or we would have run outWe waited 90 minutes from ordering to recieiving our breakfast as did another table. No apology until food was delivered, no explanation. The toast I believe was frozen bread.

Excellent little inn

Liked: Absolutely amazing place, staff are all very friendly and extremely helpful, roast dinner on a Sunday is awesome! Great little place to visit the Cotswolds, and right between Diddly squat farm and the farmers dog pub. Good walks around there too...

Pleasant

Liked: Our room was clean and in the evening we ate in the restaurant and the food was very good. The staff on duty were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Attention to detail could have been better. One of the curtains was torn at the bottom and needed mending. The bathroom smelt damp and there was no shampoo in the shower container (small complimentary toiletries were however provided), the sanitary bag container was empty and there was not a full toilet roll or spare. I could not find a hairdryer (perhaps my mistake) even though it states in the details that one is provided. We have stayed at The Wychwood before, albeit some time ago, and found everything at that time to be excellent so hence a little disappointed this time.

An easy overnight stop over...

Liked: The room was great. Bed was comfortable etc. Food was excellent, I had Burger at dinner.
Disliked: Bathroom was a little tired and needed some TLC. Perfectly useable though.

Liked: We had an evening meal and breakfast - both were superb. Beer Garden is very pretty and they were very dog friendly - the little fella got a sausage of his own at breakfast! Great location to explore the Cotswolds.

Exceptional

Pleasant, a little pricey but...

Liked: Room and bar areas were nice and welcoming. staff were friendly and courteous. Location is good. Food was generally ok, but with a couple of disappointing aspects (see below).
Disliked: Small aspects of service were a little lacking A request for a packed/takeaway breakfast was acknowledged but then only bottles of fruit juice and small packets of cereal were actually available. The so called "continental" breakfast did not include hams or cheese, only cereal. But the cooked breakfast option was ok. . Although the food was nice, on one occasion a gammon steak was ordered but it appeared that it was the last, small piece and it appeared that the chef tried to disguise this by half filling the plate with rocket salad. For £20 this was poor value.
