Very relaxing and enjoyable couple...

Liked: Staff were lovely and would be very nice in the summer with the outside sitting space, lounge is a bit small but perfectly adequate for our stay as there did not seem to be too many staying, we will make another visit and stay at the hotel.
Disliked: Our room was small and the two single beds were more like for children/teenagers so not very comfortable. We mentioned it to the receptionist the following day and said they could move us, but with the Covid-19 it did not seem a good idea as no doubt we would have had to move everything ourselves.

A beautiful hotel in an...

Liked: Breakfast was lovely. Great choices My room was fabulous to look at but there was a drains problem in the bathroom. The bar was intimate and homely
Disliked: The smell in the bathroom. Bad luck on our part? The traffic noise: we had a room over the road. One at the back would be better.

Liked: We have stayed at the Cecil on many occasions and really enjoy our time their. the staff are all very friendly and cant do enough for you and they really made a fuss of our young dog Milly. the position is ideal for both visiting stamford and Burghley house. Hopefully will be able to go back soon after the lock down.

Very good

Liked: Wonderful setting and atmosphere. Onsite parking and next to the Burghley Estate. The staff were very friendly and attentive despite having to work under the ?new normal? We had an evening meal which didn?t fail to delight and the wine list was comprehensive too. A lovely stay which was much needed!
Disliked: Nothing

Pleasant

Liked: Location great.
Disliked: For the price there wasn't the attention to detail. The room was comfortable but very basic. Staff seemed quite in experienced, some arrogant and service slow and inconsistent.
