Liked: The property has some interesting history connected with the Royals. Won’t speak about it much but this is one of the oldest coaching inns in the country! The location is apt for a base if your tour is focused on Cotswolds. Don’t forget their breakfast. A great tip: Every Tuesday, they have an amazing Farmer’s market bang opposite this property. A great experience!
Disliked: Breakfast service could be a lot more consistent. But I must say that the breakfast spread is amazing!

Liked: The location was great. The restaurant and bar were wonderful.
Disliked: We should have done a little more research on the small double room accommodation. The bed was quite small for 2 adults. But the bathroom was excellent.

Liked: Perfect location, delicious breakfast, charming property, comfortable bed, clean bathtub
Disliked: Toilet had a running problem, lots of stairs (both up and down) to room, crooked floors, daily housekeeping included only minimal cleaning, some of the desk staff weren’t as helpful or friendly as expected, no A/C and poor airflow making the room stuffy even in cool weather

Liked: The woman who served us breakfast (4/22-4/24) was exceptional—unfailingly pleasant, positive and ready to put requests in effect without delay. She could have used help, esp. on the 24th, as she was very busy. Breakfast very good.
Disliked: Size of room not designed for two. No room to move around.

Liked: Such a cosy little Inn, everything we were looking for.
Disliked: The bed was terribly uncomfortable. We could feel the springs in our backs.

Lovely caring staff and excellent...

Liked: Food in snug was lovely and we were able to book our table in advance, before we arrived. Breakfast was lovely and a good selection on the menu, rooms were warm, very clean and the beds were comfy and nice fresh clean bedding and towels and plenty of tea/coffee supplied. I would highly recommend this hotel for its staff, location and clean, comfy rooms.
Disliked: Nothing

Disliked: Not being able to get a drink at the bar, table service only. There were still screens up at the bar and made it feel like we were still in times of covid.
