Horrible stay. Dirty and run-down...
Liked: None
Disliked: Hotel is completely run-down and clearly does not represent any of the pictures. Wouldn't recommend anyone staying here. They have basically taken over an old W hotel and did not perform any care and maintenance. Rooms are dirty, and furniture is broken. There were hairs all over the place in the bathroom, bed, and the rest of the room. Closet door was missing. No towels in the room and when asked if they could bring some, they told us the laundry truck was late, meaning they could not bring any. When asking the reception for a solution, all she could tell is to get in touch with Gary the manager. We checked out the same evening and booked a different hotel. Absolute disgrace that Booking still claims this to be a 4 star hotel.

The hotel is in a...
Liked: On a positive note, the location was excellent, and the housekeeping staff were exceptionally friendly, efficient, and punctual. The deposit was also refunded promptly, which was appreciated.
Disliked: The room was poorly maintained, and it seems the hotel changed ownership fairly recently (within the past 1–2 years). Unfortunately, the new management appears to be neglecting the property. There were visible cracks in both the ceiling and the furniture. The bar and restaurant were closed, and the reception staff seemed uninterested in the guests. Surprisingly, some staff even brought their children to work during the day. Only three out of six elevators were functioning, and there was no coffee or tea maker in the room.Despite multiple guests asking on Booking.com whether breakfast was included—and receiving “yes” as an answer, likely from the previous owners—there was no breakfast offered at all. This hotel was previously a W by Wyndham, and some of the original decor still remains, which might explain the current name, “The Washington.”

A fabulous place!
Liked: Amazing location. Small but functional rooms. Great customer service from Cheryl on reception (missing her morning Motown music in the morning already).
Disliked: A breakfast option would have been nice.

The hotel is very reasonable...
Liked: The hotel has a perfect location and a stunning view. Of course, it’s a budget-friendly hotel, so don’t expect luxury, but overall, it’s very nice. The rooms are clean and have everything you need — for example, a fridge, TV, air conditioning, hairdryer, and some small complimentary items. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help. We had a broken fridge, and when I told the receptionist, they changed our room without hesitation. In the second room, the bathroom door got stuck, but again, the reception sent maintenance immediately, and they fixed it.
Disliked: Just a heads-up: you’ll be asked to pay a $150 deposit. I didn’t receive it back after two weeks, but I called the hotel, and they apologized and released it right away.
