Exceptional

A very friendly hotel with...

Liked: The one member of staff I saw throughout my visit was excellent. Friendly, polite and professional - very good. Breakfast was fresh and hot - really enjoyed it, good quality.
Disliked: It all just felt very dated. The rooms are large but its all very old furniture and decor. Felt a bit like staying in an old peoples home, sorry....

Liked: Reception - booking in - pleasant staff, no waiting about, Breakfasts - very kindly cooked extra stuff when we had a request - organised Bar - lovely area to unwindRoom on the whole it was lovely - but heating kept going off at funny times - and it was an exceptionally wet and damp few days we were there - we were out most of the time and if we had been in room more often we would have spoken to staff.
Disliked: Size of the bath - I know it is often beyond the powers of the management - but the bath is very small so would be better not to have. On saying that if I had children the bath would have been better than a shower

Well over priced

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: The meal were atrocious breakfast was under cooked and some was overcooked becon must have been out of date because the rind was yellow and tasted horrible poached eggs were undercooked and slimy, hash browns were microwaved and anemic beans were cold. Not be stopping there again!!!!
