Swanky design; perfect location. Overall great hotel choice. No regrets.

Disliked: One elevator was down so it took forever to get up or down.

Convenient but uncomfortable.

Liked: Very convenient location to all that the theatre district has to offer.
Disliked: Our original room was hot upon entry and we could not even feel air moving from the unit. They kindly moved us to another room that seemed cooler upon entry, but the room never dipped below 76 degrees the entire time of our stay. Also, the Booking.com description of this room was 225sf. There is NO WAY this room was that size. I didn’t push the issue because we didn’t wish to relocate year another time. We will find other accommodations upon our next theatre district trip to NYC.

A perfect hotel for a...

Liked: The property is in an incredible location to time square it literally a couple mins work to centre. The rooms are perfect, clean and beds are extremely comfortable.
Disliked: Just the look from outside isn’t massively grand feeling but once inside everything is great. A lot of others in similar price look grand outside but rooms are significantly worse.

Great Location and staff -...

Liked: Location was great for our three shows in two days trip! Sweet that they had happy hour 5-6 with free wine and cheese in little bar area!!! Staff very nice.
Disliked: Bathroom was tiny and had terrible lighting. The rain shower head was fine but the wand was broken and got the whole room wet in an instant so could not use. Room was dark even with all weird light fixtures on.

Great location, but.....

Liked: The location was perfect for theaters and for other midtown exploration. The staff were friendly and helpful. The coffee in the restaurant was unexpectedly good, as good as any Italian cafe.
Disliked: The room was very small and not well maintained. Clearly, whoever furnished the rooms did not ever stay in one. It was lacking the easy things that make a small room work. For example, there was only one hook on the back of the bathroom door and no other place to hang a wet towel after a shower. For a room that supposedly accommodates four people, how is that supposed to work? There was a wardrobe for clothes, but the doors didn't stay shut and there was not a single drawer to put something in. They could easily add a bedside table with some drawers rather than the spare bedside table currently in the room. I suggest that whoever is in charge of furnishing the rooms spend a night or two there with their family and think about where they're going to put their stuff. Also, most rooms these days have a simple coffee maker or a way to heat up some water to make a cup of tea. There was none in the room, and that would be a basic amenity to provide. There is a refrigerator, but it is stocked to the brim with expensive bottles of liquor and soda and water. All are ridiculously overpriced. To use the refrigerator, we took out the bottles and put them on the desk. So that's more space that is not really usable for someone who is going to live in the room for a few days. Our room charges included a $30 per day resort fee. Really? The resort fee is supposedly for the use of the health club that is a couple of blocks away. We had no interest in using it, but that charge is not optional so we paid the extra $30 a day anyway. It's a great location, so they have a captive audience. However, for such an expensive room, I expected more of Hyatt.

Comfortable and good location

Liked: Location was central, room was comfortable and staff helpful and friendly.
Disliked: The list of facilities includes a tea/coffee maker but there was nothing in the room. A kettle and paper cups were provided on request but tea, coffee or spoons weren't so we had to buy our own. There were only three pillows provided for two people which they said is standard but they did give us a fourth pillow when we asked. There were no drawers in the room so apart from items we could hang we had to keep everything in our cases.

Exceptional

Liked: I I love the staff. The man who were at the front door every day and every night we’re the best ever. They were so social and wonderful. I love Kevin and Anthony and so many of the others, whose names I don’t recall at this moment. They were all wonderful. They enhanced my four day travel for sure. I have mentioned New York city many many times, but I think that this was my favorite because of the staff. Thank you so much. I will be back again because this hotel is so hospitable that they are almost like family.
