Some guests mention that rooms can feel compact (hey, it’s NYC), and elevators may be a bit slow during peak hours. But most agree these are minor trade-offs for the unbeatable location and chic atmosphere.

Swanky design; perfect location. Overall great hotel choice. No regrets.

Disliked: One elevator was down so it took forever to get up or down.

Comfortable and good location

Liked: Location was central, room was comfortable and staff helpful and friendly.
Disliked: The list of facilities includes a tea/coffee maker but there was nothing in the room. A kettle and paper cups were provided on request but tea, coffee or spoons weren't so we had to buy our own. There were only three pillows provided for two people which they said is standard but they did give us a fourth pillow when we asked. There were no drawers in the room so apart from items we could hang we had to keep everything in our cases.

Exceptional

Liked: I I love the staff. The man who were at the front door every day and every night we’re the best ever. They were so social and wonderful. I love Kevin and Anthony and so many of the others, whose names I don’t recall at this moment. They were all wonderful. They enhanced my four day travel for sure. I have mentioned New York city many many times, but I think that this was my favorite because of the staff. Thank you so much. I will be back again because this hotel is so hospitable that they are almost like family.

The staff here really makes...

Liked: The staff here was absolutely top notch. The door man was constantly on his toes to help with anything and always available to answer questions about the local spots. The receptionist was so friendly and accommodating and even the bellhops were friendly and talkative and enthusiastic about restaurant recommendations, etc. The location was great, right in the middle of a few Broadway theatres. It was small and intimate. The rooms were clean and modern. My husband and I enjoyed the complimentary cheese and wine event every evening at a certain hour in the hotel bar.
Disliked: The mirror television was not working in our room, which wasn't an issue at all because we were so busy enjoying the sights of NYC. The hotel offered to send a technician to try to fix it, but we declined. There were no ice machines, so you have to call the desk to have some sent up from the restaurant/ bar. Again, this was not an issue. Just different.

Stayed here 3 years ago...

Liked: Location was great. Stuff was very friendly and helpful
Disliked: Rooms had garbage on the floor on arrival and dust curls during all of our stay there. Elevators took hours to arrive. Rooms felt worn out and needed some fixing. We paid for 2 kings but got one king and one smaller room which the stuff said was also considered a king. But it was much smaller.

Liked: Superb location. Excellant staff, particularly Eric the concierge who assisted us a couple of times and was great at offering tips and guidance, a credit to the hotel. Nice touch was the free wine and cheese in the bar between 5 and 6pm
Disliked: No tea/coffee facilities in room or bar/reception.Otherwise, nothing to dislike, honestly, super hotel.
