The Swan Hotel is an 18th-century hotel located in the center of Alresford just 15 minutes drive from Winchester. It has a bar 2 restaurant areas and a lounge with free parking located at the rear of the hotel The bedrooms all have tea/coffee making facilities a flat-screen TV hairdryer with some rooms offering free Wi-Fi. One room is wheelchair friendly with twin beds and a wet room. The Watercress Room and the Dining Room are open 7 days per week from 07:30 offering breakfast lunch and dinner for both residents and non residents. Guests are welcome to relax in the Cozy after dinner with a drink or a coffee. Alresford is well known for its Georgian architecture with riverside walks alongside the River Arle. The Watercress Steam Railway is one minute's walk from the hotel.

Pleasant

Liked: Superb food, lovely staff, very good en suite
Disliked: Very hot, very noisy bedroom fans, windows couldn't be opened. Only 4 inches between the bottom of the double bed and the wall, which had a mounted TV on its, so very difficult to get round the bed. Health and safety risk, an unsuitable room for a double bed.

Everything 5 stars, except for...

Liked: Food is excellent Cleanliness StaffDecor
Disliked: Beds: Twin beds are very creaky and uncomfortable. Mattresses are so soft, with one of the mattresses being a different brand and extremely soft. We tried swopping beds but we were both uncomfortable.
