Liked: We loved the hotel for its location, cleanliness, amazing staff from reception to the chef who prepared a delicious traditional English breakfast with a warm smile every morning. I highly recommend the Sumner hotel.

Had a lovely stay

Liked: It was in a great location for what we needed. Nice quiet area. Clean and comfortable . Friendly staff.
Disliked: Room was quite small, especially the en suite, and a bit tired. Just needed a little bit of attention, but nothing really worth worrying about.

Equal to travel lodge/premier inn

Liked: Only thing I liked was the bed comfort ability and it was clean enough.
Disliked: Room absolutely stunk of body odour but we were given the ‘last room’ so no option to change, room phone didn’t work…phone lines were dead so couldn’t contact reception from our room and the mini bar they mention is two bottles of water not even chilled sitting on the side. Room was absolutely freezing but the smell was the worst thing could barely sleep. Had to plug the kettle in on the floor by the bed as there was no plug by the desk? L
