Loch Ness and Glen Affric...
Liked: We recently had a delightful stay at a charming bed and breakfast in the Glen Lodge, and I can't say enough good things about it! The moment we stepped in, we were welcomed by a cosy and inviting atmosphere and that instantly made us feel at home. Our host has been fantastic and we have had nice chat as she was experienced like a local guide. The B&B is impressively clean, which is always a top priority for me, and the attention to detail in the decor creates a warm and friendly ambience. One of the highlights of our stay was the full Scottish breakfast, which was simply fantastic! A hearty meal to start the day, featuring local ingredients and traditional favourites—it was the perfect fuel for exploring the beautiful Glen Affric.Speaking of surroundings, the location of this B&B is absolutely perfect. Nestled in enchanting forests, it offers a wealth of walking trails right at your doorstep. If you’re looking for a nice, cosy, and clean place to stay in the Highlands with a perfect location and a fantastic breakfast, I highly recommend this gem!

The cosiest place and the...
Liked: Very cosy place to stay in the woods. Easy to find and not far from Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, Inverness. The breakfast is excellent, the owners are lovely and I had the best sleep of my life!

Lovely stay with great hosts...
Liked: We loved our stay at The Steading. Our room far exceeded our expectations, with much more space than expected, including entirely separate sleeping and living rooms. We were only there one night but the accommodation had everything you would need for a longer stay. Our hosts were excellent, friendly and helpful, with loads of local knowledge and suggestions about where to go, routes to take or avoid, and how to make best use of our time. Breakfast was amazing! Lovely home cooked food, made to order, plus toast, cereals, yoghurt, home made preserves and sauces.
Disliked: First impressions, the bumpy road up, and when you first pull up outside the property, aren’t amazing - but don’t let that put you off!

Quiet and cosy with great...
Liked: Room was comfortable, warm and cosy and bigger than the pictures made out with loads of storage and separate dining room and lounge area. Bed was comfortable and lots of refreshments provided. Hosts were fab and accommodating and breakfast was really nice. The garden was all a bit overgrown and where bits of the inn have been fixed over the years there's a bit of an odd mishmash of materials used but we felt it just added to the charm!
Disliked: Location is quite rural so don't expect to be able to walk home from the local pub!

Liked: Comfortable , quiet , clean facilities , great breakfast
Disliked: Very hard to find as property name on main access road doesn’t fully match the name on booking.com . I recommend using google maps rather than your car’s navigation system

Liked: Sheila was very welcoming and cooked a great breakfast. The place was quirky which is exactly what we were looking for. Peaceful and relaxing.
Disliked: There was a lack of facilities. We brought a take away back but no plates or knives. No iron. Limited glasses.
