Hotel Description
The Star and Garter is set in the heart of the market town of Andover. The hotel dates back to the 1700s and offers a hot and cold buffet breakfast and free WiFi. The hotel maintains its Georgian façade and rooms are set in the former stables and coach house encircling the courtyard as well as over two floors in the main building. Each room has private bathroom facilities with a power shower bath and complimentary toiletries. There is a flat-screen TV hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities in all rooms. There are alcoholic beverages and soft drinks available which can be enjoyed in our enclosed courtyard. This Hampshire town lies around 20 miles north of the beautiful New Forest National Park. Newbury Basingstoke and the pretty cathedral city of Salisbury and Winchester can all be reached within 30 minutes' drive. Stonehenge is within a 20-minute drive. Free parking is provided at the rear of the hotel.

Only stayed one night so...

Liked: The hotel is in the centre of Andover. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and nice towels and toiletries .Tea making with biscuits and water .
Disliked: Stairs up to the room

Liked: The staff and location
Disliked: No case stand had to leave it on the floor no phone had to go outside and round to reception. Room only had two sockets where a lamp and kettle were plugged in no spare for charging personal items it was a very basic room with one pillow each but the beds were fairly comfortable

Only overnight but a good...

Liked: Clear guidance on how to find the car park. Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean room with all facilities. Would stay again if in the area.
Disliked: No fried eggs for breakfast.
