Last time I went to Showboat it was a happening place on the boardwalk. And now with no gambling and restaurants really open it's gone down hill. It's very dated and is need of some TLC. Our tub drain barely worked and we had no extra pillows. It kinda smelled. It was fine but I know it can be better and I hope they do bring back the life to the Showboat.

Liked: It was convenient to Hard Rock Live and price was not bad.
Disliked: Very dated and stains on bedding and chairs.

The room was not as elaborate as the online pictures made it seem. Clean and met my needs but not any different than a Best Western or Hilton.

I was there Friday and Saturday. Came in for the Carnival of Madness tour (at House of Blues). The halls of the hotel smelled extremely clean and the air was crisp and cool. Our room was exceptionally clean and was obviously maintained very well. Some of the doors stuck, but I'm willing to guess the extreme humidity was the cause. The casino was decent. It wasn't very packed so I had my pick of machines.

Liked: Friendly, helpful staff; clean room; convenient location.

Disliked: it was horrible dirty stinking roaches in the room spider webs water constantly leaking from the bathroom sink tub stopped up

Liked: The balcony room was good. Very spacious.
Disliked: Did not have coffee or toilet paper in the room. Couldn't get ahold of anyone on the phone so we had to keep going to the front desk.

Disliked: No extra towels. Cold water didnt work in bathroom sink. Phones in room didnt work. Rooms old looking

Liked: Not much really. It was out dated, dirty. The air conditioning didn’t work on the arcade floor or our room. Staff said half the hotel was out of air conditioning
Disliked: Only one place to buy food. No selection of restaurants at all! Rooms were filthy. The bathroom only had one light that worked. The main lamp was broken & leaning over. There was hookers in the lobby & the all the floors smelt of marijuana bad! Not very family friendly.

Disliked: Booked 9 rooms only 1 of them was ready the rest were not ready til after 6None of the rooms had ac They wouldn’t give us extra towels
