The Ship Leopard Boutique Hotel - No Children

Great last minute choice for...

Liked: Got the last room on Booking.com on the day about half an hour before arrival. Realatively easy to find with parking out back at no extra cost. Large lift to 3rd floor. Good sized room looking out at the quay. Nearby pub with grub. 15-20 minutes walk to town centre. Good breakfast.
Disliked: Nothing really

Great location, friendly staff.

Liked: Great location. Nice breakfast included. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff who helped us store our bicycles safely overnight.
Disliked: Bathroom was pretty small. No A/C.

We were well looked after...

Liked: Staff were lovely, position is perfect, they got free car park and you get a decent breakfast
Disliked: The room (35) was small, and I mean very small. There’s no wardrobe in the room, so you have to use hooks on the wall to hang your clothes, the bathroom is also miniature with a shower that Einstein would have trouble getting his head round. The hotel is actually a B&B, which is fine if you’re just using it as a base.

Liked: The location is great if you want to visit the dockyards, car parking is included which is a bonus. Check in was a pleasant experienceBreakfast was pretty good and served in an efficient and friendly manner.The bed was clean and comfortable.
Disliked: The room was ok but was quite worn with paint scuffs and some peeling paint in the bathroom. This is quite an old building so don't expect perfect double glazing, décor etc.Room layout is a bit quirky with a TV hidden inside a wardrobe which we didn't spot until we were leaving.Describing the Ship Leopard as a boutique hotel is a bit of a stretch based on our experience of others described similarly.

Exceptional

Liked: Excellent location, excellent breakfast. Friendly staff, tidy rooms.Hotel quiet and comfortable.
Disliked: Shower base very slippery, needs a shower mat. Portable air conditioning unit blowing out coldish air, needs a proper air conditioning unit installed as the room can get muggy when it's hot.

Enjoyable stay great staff great...

Liked: The location was perfect the room was spotlessly clean. Was checked in early despite arriving over an hour earlier than the check in time. Staff were very polite and courteous breakfast was one of best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had onsite parking safe and secure and definitely a bonus.
Disliked: WiFi was slow and very stop start and slow when working.

Lovely hotel and location

Liked: Room was nice and comfy. Breakfast was good and staff was very nice. I loved the staff, the location to shops and historic docs, and public transportation. Large, quick, elevator.

Superb

Liked: The room was good and the location great as near the shopping area etc. The breakfasts would have been good except for the fact we could not stay as we had to be at the ferry by 7pm
Disliked: No negative comment
