The Rokxy Townhouse - Kings Cross

A little gem of comfort...

Liked: The townhouse is perfectly located in a quiet oasis just moments from the busy hub of Kings Cross. It is beautifully decorated and the small room felt so much bigger, thanks to the clever layout. Our hosts were amazing. Those extra little touches that make you want to stay longer or definitely come back. The night we arrived was so hot, but they arranged a fan in the room, free cold drinks in the fridge and the cold cloth was a god send. I would highly recommend The Rokxy Townhouse, in fact, I’ve been telling everyone I can! Thank you so much. Xx
Disliked: Leaving. But I will be back.

Poor

Liked: Fabulous location and friendly staff. Quality of furnishings and facilities good
Disliked: The room was on the ground floor with little natural light. It was also a very hot day and because air flow was poor I had to use the fan which was noisy so couldn't sleep. I was probably unlucky with the room.

Comfyish

Liked: Very convenient for the Eurostar. Hussain was a friendly and welcoming chap on my arrival. Nice couple of pubs close by for a pint. Clean rooms. Comfyish bed. Complimentary snacks and drinks. Nice pot of Jam as a pressie.
Disliked: It was a bit poky but I suppose it's par for the course in London near the station unless you pay silly money for a room.If stay there again when using Eurostar early the next day.

Great Hotel for Short Stop...

Liked: Very proactive with pre contact information about arrival and what you might like to find in the fridge. Fun quirky room. It was a super hot day so house keeping pre arranged an extra fan in the room put the two fans on and let me know in WhatsApp before I arrived. They also left a pot of jam but I was so loaded down I couldn’t take it. Really good location for St Pancras International and Kings Cross. I walked easily with a large suitcase to St Pancras check in - 7 minutes on the flat, not rushing in the heat.
Disliked: They may need to consider aircon if London is going to stay as hot. The moving air was a great help, but as it was 28C outside aircon would have helped. My room was near the front door and folk must have just kept letting it go. Every time it slammed my headboard shook. Some guests were just unthinking coming back late at night. This isn’t really the hotels fault - people can just be selfish. I would happily stay here again though as this was only a problem a few times.

Over priced for size and...

Liked: Funky decor, cold drinks in fridge.
Disliked: Very small room, tiny bathroom with an even smaller shower. Small bed, no air conditioning.

Great choice for a night...

Liked: Refreshingly unique for London hotel. Loved the thoughtfulness of the sandwiches, mini-bar and tea trolly. Left luggage service was very good
Disliked: Bathroom was ok, but would benefit from a spruce up

Disliked: Room is so small. stuffy ，there is a fan ，high price ，bad shower, even the stuff is kind

Totally unique hotel I will...

Liked: I work in London weekly and the hospitality in this hotel was outstanding. It felt more like being welcomed than checking in, cold drinks in the fridge pot of tea and a paper at the door in the morning. I was honestly blown away. Thankyou for a wonderful hotel room, the perfect balance of privacy and hospitality.
Disliked: Nothing

A little bit cozy with...

Liked: The owner is amazing, really cares about what he does and was very supportive of me, especially with taking my luggage in and out of the place. I got there very early because I got lost and was so tired from walking around that they welcome me to stay in the lobby until my room could be ready and they made it ready as quickly as they could. In the meanwhile, they treated me to the TV set in the lobby and some comfy chairs. Every day. There was a nice little surprise for me like a jar of preserves and milky tea in the mornings and newspaper. You could tell the owner really cares about what he does and as a personal touch, my husband is a musician and a lot of the decorations in my room happen to be like fender amps.
Disliked: The only thing that I could say, that was a bit negative is that the shower doesn’t work correctly in terms of temperature. I was there for three days or two nights and I could not take a shower because the cold lever even got hotter than the hot water lever. I thought it was just me so my friend checked and said that there was no cold water I personally did not have time to hunt down anyone to let them know, but I think it’s important to get that fixed and possibly just a few more towels. Women need towels for their hair, their body and for the floors that they’re stepping on so at least three towels per shower and as a female, I would have showered three times a day because of the heat so just a suggestion on that
