Liked: The spa, hotel and staff are amazing. Very clean. Spa is outstanding, especially the sauna and steam. Massage and relaxation room was also very special.
Disliked: The food at both dinner and breakfast was unfortunately a let down. The plant based dinner was quite basic and very overpriced for what it was and the breakfast was limited. However as the spa facilities were outstanding, we still enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful stay that will become...

Liked: Fantastic staff - really great attitude, helpful and professional. Clearly good management. Great food. Wonderful grounds. Great place for anyone with a dog. We are returning within a month of our first visit which probably says it all.

A really lovely hotel, good...

Liked: Lovely location, friendly staff, range of facilities, pretty garden, very good food and good value.
Disliked: A few details: there's no need for a loud pianist next to a restaurant when everyone is trying to talk. This also prevented conversation in the bar. One father was trying to play a board game with his child and it was a struggle because of the need to shout. My husband wears hearing aids and it was a nightmare for him. The other things were tiny - nowhere to leave used teabags, no loo brush and extractor didn't work in the bathroom.

Liked: Lovely selection of gorgeous fresh food for breakfast and lunch.The room was beautiful and very spacious. Lovely toiletries and nice little touches such as complimentary home made shortbread and Madeira wine. The bed was super comfy.The lounge , restaurant and terrace all wonderful and friendly helpful staff. The location is set in wonderful countryside too!Definitely going back.

Lovely weekend break just an...

Liked: The hotel is in a very beautiful, fairly secluded location which is nice and the design is great - very british with a few quirks. Our room was good and 'the pantry' was a nice touch! We also loved the spa and used most of the options available to us. Our treatments were excellent! Lastly, we ate at YU and it was absolutely delicious.
Disliked: It's not so much a 'not like' but the service quality from the staff could definitely be better when considering how much a stay costs and the standard that the hotel gives off. The staff are friendly, but they just seem to lack confidence in what they're doing and I honestly think a bit more experience and discussion around this would do wonders for the overall sense of the hotel.
