Great position, great service will...
Liked: First time at the Renwick and we will definitely be back. Perfectly located for mid town adventures and metro at 3 mins walking. Not fancy nor posh but clean trendy and cool enough for a long stay of 11 days. Service every day, fresh towels and a coffee machine with Lavazza coffee (the real one).
Disliked: the concierge and space for the free coffee at morning is frankly a little small but we would not go for free coffee anyway

Bad customer service at check...
Liked: The location was super convenient, close to Grand Central. The design of the hotel was also relatively stylish and not tacky. Good beds and decent shower. Free coffee and tea in the morning was nice. Also the cleanliness was not a problem. The personal was nice and smiley, except for the check-in (see the negatives).
Disliked: What mainly caused a sour experience was the check in. Me as the reservation person could not arrive to NY until 11pm but my partner coming from Europe was there already since the morning (exhausted and jet lagged). I contacted them if it is possible to let him in the room before I arrive with my credit card and pay but they claimed he would have to use his card and he would be charged for the full stay and only after that he could be let in the room. We could not do that because he would pay big currency exchange fees with his European card. They let him store the luggage but that was it. Absolutely zero pro-customer care, despite me trying to find some compromise and them having my card on booking.com and cancellation fee being the price of the first night. At 9pm he went to the hotel to wait for us and after some time the person at the check in let him put his card on hold and enter the room. He was not charged and I payed in the end, but it is beyond my understanding why this was not offered in the beginning. Horrible customer service, I was really disappointed and felt sorry for my partner who had to wander around NY completely exhausted.One of the two rooms was not ventilated enough so sometimes smelled a bit stuffy after entering, but quick opening of the windows always solved it. There was no microwave in neither of the two rooms we had, nor any coffee or tea machine.

Very enjoyable
Liked: Good location and friendly helpful staff and exceptionally comfortable beds.
Disliked: Room decor was a little tired.
