Good for a couple of...

Liked: Room was clean, good shower, comfortable bed, free parking, staff were friendly. Fan in room helped keep it cool too. Location good for buses and trains around the area.
Disliked: Limited breakfast options as pub menu only, so no cereal, fruit, juices, toast and jam / marmalade etc. Bedroom doors were on closers which slammed shut, and rooms could do with better noise insulation.

The Red Lion is clean...

Liked: The room was spacious and clean. Well stocked courtesy tray. Excellent location for trains and buses. The staff were all very friendly and polite but our requests about our TV failed to be acted upon.
Disliked: The room was unbearably hot even with the fan switched on all the time. Outside it was much cooler with a refreshing breeze but our room was hot and airless.Our TV didn't work and we had to ask 3 times for it to be fixed, which it was eventually over 24 hours after our arrival.

Very welcoming and friendly Inn...

Liked: Manager and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were quiet, food was good standard pub fare
Disliked: Whilst clean and comfortable, the room could do with a lick of point

Liked: rooms were clean and tidy, bed very comfortable and firm. Shower excellent. Food very good, ew had breakfast which was amazing and Sunday lunch also very good. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Ok but not the best...

Liked: Great location for what we needed, room was nice
Disliked: The heat the fan has no power didn’t work at all even on 3it didn’t spin, couldn’t open window fully, we returned at midnight but whoever else stayed had no respect, doors slamming, people singing, safe to say we didn’t sleep! Room nice but pillows awful and lumpy

Had all I needed and...

Liked: Convenient for my needs, easy parking, comfortable bed, my room had a pleasant aspect, staff were very pleasant and helpful
Disliked: Room a little small, but on my own that didn’t matter, internal bathroom a little stale smelling, but that is difficult to change. I didn’t mind the ‘back’ entrance and to be fair didn’t need to use it during the day, but it was more convenient for the car park. However some people might be put off by the alley. Not sure if there is anything you can do about that.
