Liked: Great busy location for shopping and restaurants but really appreciated how quiet the side road the hotel is situated on as we got a great nights sleep

Liked: Location, very clean rooms, kind staff
Disliked: While a water outage is entirely acceptable, the fact that we were not informed about it, that a letter was slipped under the door despite us not being in the room, and that we happened to arrive at the hotel earlier than the specified time and were caught mid-shower with soap on us because the water had already been cut off—all of this was quite absurd. We had to rinse off using cold water we purchased from a market, which was very inconvenient. The next day, they spoke with us and offered a small discount. They also specifically assured us that during the next scheduled outage, only the hot water would be cut off and cold water would still be available. However, when we returned to the hotel at that time, there was no water at all. During a four-night stay, being unable to use either the toilet or the shower for two consecutive nights was both unreasonable and inexcusable. It was also hard to understand why the outage couldn’t be postponed to later hours when most guests would be asleep.Leaving aside the fact that this five-star, highly-rated hotel does not seem to have a water tank, we found the compensation offered inadequate for the inconvenience we experienced on two consecutive nights due to poor communication. That said, the hotel staff were very polite. Although the staff did their best, hotel management could have offered a better form of compensation.
