Very Good - 4.0 out of 5

Jessica, Old Lyme, CT

The view from our room was amazing even though we were only on the 4th floor. Had a perfect view of NYC. We were only there for one night to see a show but overall the experience was great. I would just never use their shuttle service again if I ever returned.

Liked: The room was amazing and the view was fantastic. Plus, the staff was very courteous when we first arrived - they even called to make sure our room was satisfactory about 10 minutes after we checked in.
Disliked: Used their shuttle to our show and ended up standing out in the cold for 45 minutes trying to catch one to get back. The person never parked in the same spot so even though we were first in line 3 times, we didn't run fast enough to make it. Tried to call the hotel and couldn't get through.

I booked to go see a Giants game. I understand the devastation of huricane Sandy but I called ahead 3 days and was told that they had power heat and no issues. I arrived on Sunday to find out they had no power and no heat. I am just upset that I drove 300 miles to find out I was lied to. They did not even offer to give me a discount.

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: I don't expect to be lied to.

Refused service despite having paid...

Liked: The bed was fairly comfortable.
Disliked: My son and I checked in to this hotel hours before a concert at Met Life Stadium. I had booked this room in December of 2024 and had a print out of my pre-PAID reservation. I had called the week prior to confirm. When I tried to check in the front desk clerk told me that my reservation had been "cancelled" by Booking.com. Even though I had a print out of the reservation and a receipt of the charge on my card. He told me there were no rooms at the hotel and told my son and I to call Booking.com to find a different hotel. He did not offer to call booking.com himself to get clarification on the issue. He actually lied to me and said there were no rooms available. The manager Lisa got involved and told me the room had been cancelled as well. That was NOT TRUE. Even though I had already been charged for the room they told me to leave and go find a hotel elsewhere. They never agreed to return my money or help my son and I in any way. I went and sat in the lobby and started making phone calls. I called the Hotel's reservation desk . They DID have rooms open but for twice what I had paid in December. Desperate, I ended up rebooking ANOTHER room on Booking.com for $70 dollars more and went right back to the front desk. They did honor this reservation. NO ONE apologized to me or tried to help in ANY WAY. The following day Manager Amy admitted they had completely failed on their end. She volunteered to refund my money . I said thank you and left. Now 5 days later I still have 2 charges on my credit card for that one nights stay. The manager charged my card AGAIN (without my permission) this time for 263 dollars. Now a total of over 750 dollars for one night in this hotel! The 263 dollar charge was returned to my card the following day but the other charges totalling 491 dollars remain on my credit card. I called the office again to talk to Amy and she told me she was going to call or email me back. I never heard back. I am filing a report with the BBB.

Pleasant

Liked: Location was excellent
Disliked: Room had a musty smell. It didn’t seem to cool down even with the AC on. There were pubic like hairs stuck to the ceiling in the bathroom.
