Functional stay

Liked: The man on reception was very helpful and nice The Palace is an old hotel that does the best it can with an old building
Disliked: The hotel was very warm . Our first room was too hot but it was changed .for us The nice coffee machine was gone from the main breakfast room . Cups too small and we couldn't see a pot to have a pot of tea on table .

Liked: Historic building and good value for one night. Very comfy bed and warm and cosy
Disliked: Bathroom had some fittings that had come lose. It could do with a bit of help!

Disliked: The beds were very uncomfortable and pillows like lying on a brick ,we have a firm mattress at home but these mattresses are beyond firm

Disliked: We didn't stay there the room was so small and the corridor was so steep and narrow and looked nothing like the pictures we felt uncomfortable staying there , I payed £150 for a premiere inn up the road ,,, I requested a refund which I have been ignored about ,, thanks The Palace Buxton,, Never ever again,,Jamie Jackson

All in all a great...

Liked: Location was super just struggled a bit walking up the incline from Buxton centre,wouldn't have been a problem by car!! Breakfast was great,everything you could think of was available. Restaurant did it's best for gluten free choices. Room was very clean and quiet. Reception staff friendly and helpful and let us leave our suitcases with them so we could explore Buxton before checking in All in all would definitely recommend.
Disliked: Maybe more gluten free choices for our evening meal.
