Liked: This is a beautiful old house (built in 1893), comfortable and peaceful. We loved sitting on the broad, shady porch on a balmy morning while I worked and my wife sketched the towering oak trees that give the house its name. Our bed in the Florence room was comfortable, and our bathroom was enormous. Lots of food options for breakfast, and you can choose whether to have it in the dining room, in your room, or on the patio. The woman cooking and serving breakfast was very kind, and we had a nice chat. We also had a lovely dinner not far away at the Farmhouse Restaurant.
Disliked: We could hear some loud voices from other rooms until about 10 p.m., but that's to be expected in an older house. The water pressure in the shower is a bit weak, but probably also because of the age of the house.

Disliked: Couldn’t find any black tea. The canisters were empty. I’m not a coffee drinker. Luckily had tea bags with me.

Liked: This feels like a 5 star hotel. The staff is fabulous. All the locks are digital and you don’t have to carry a key, which is one less thing to worry about. The rooms had spa quality linens and towels. The bathrooms were clean and updated. The TV has streaming & cable options. Free WiFi. Breakfast was homemade and delicious! I would absolutely recommend the Inn over a chain hotel. This is perfect for a girls weekend or a romantic getaway. I’d love to stay again! Very quiet location.

Liked: Room was large and well furnished and decorated. Nice breakfast that was offered outside or inside depending on preference.
Disliked: The bathroom was down the hall and not accessible from the bedroom. While it was private, it was not clearly stated in the description.
